Unfortunately you can't transfer balances from one Chase card to another and if you already have a Slate card, you unfortunately cannot get a second card simply to take advantage of the promotion.

It may be worth using your online account to send a message to customer service inquiring if they will match the deal. However, be sure you get an answer in writing before proceeding to be extra careful.

If you already have a Chase Slate, the only offer I see on the website incurs a 3% transfer fee. Will they not wave this for existing customers? Or can I get a second card?

Joe,

If you are not given an approval notice when your application is submitted, it typically takes between 1-3 business weeks for a card to arrive. This may be prolonged after Winter Storm Nemo as mail is likely behind in the Northeast.

So, I applied for this deal a couple weeks ago and have outstanding credit. Have you or others been delayed as well, perhaps due to a high volume on this card because of the offer?

Hi Steve,

I'm actually uncertain about this. I would recommend calling Chase at 1-866-944-1862. Apologies for not having a more complete answer, but policies vary from bank to bank and I didn't want to simply answer with an educated guess.
